Tender and flavorful pot roast in the slow cooker makes a perfect comfort food dinner, and special enough for guests or the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 (3-4 lb) chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4-5 jarred pepperoncini peppers

Instructions

  1. Place roast in the slow cooker and sprinkle with ranch and au jus mix packets. Place peppers on top, and add the butter.
  2. Cook on Low for 8 hours. Serve with noodles, mashed potatoes, rice, or on a sub or hamburger bun

Notes

Optional: For additional browned flavor, you can sear the roast in a hot skillet first, before placing in the slow cooker.
