Tender and flavorful pot roast in the slow cooker makes a perfect comfort food dinner, and special enough for guests or the holidays.
Ingredients
- 1 (3-4 lb) chuck roast
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4-5 jarred pepperoncini peppers
Instructions
- Place roast in the slow cooker and sprinkle with ranch and au jus mix packets. Place peppers on top, and add the butter.
- Cook on Low for 8 hours. Serve with noodles, mashed potatoes, rice, or on a sub or hamburger bun
Notes
Optional: For additional browned flavor, you can sear the roast in a hot skillet first, before placing in the slow cooker.
