Easy Biscuits and Gravy

Just like the classic biscuits and gravy from your favorite diner. Makes the perfect weekend breakfast or weeknight breakfast-for-dinner!

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3 oz) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 (16 oz) roll breakfast sausage
  • 1/2 to 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1-2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bake biscuits according to package directions
  2. Meanwhile, cook sausage in a saucepan over medium-high heat until browned and crumbled. Do not drain.
  3. Once sausage is cooked through, carefully stir in flour 1/2 cup at a time until sausage is well coated.
  4. Slowly add milk until mixture reaches gravy-like consistency. If you like runnier gravy, add more milk. If gravy becomes too thin, sprinkle in extra flour until you reach desired consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve gravy over warm biscuits, alongside scrambled eggs if you wish.
