Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough (such as Pillsbury crescent roll sheet)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 3/4 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: extra salsa, pico de gallo, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced black olives, sour cream, or guacamole

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. In a 9x13 baking dish, lightly sprayed with nonstick spray, gently press crescent roll dough to make a bottom crust
  3. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no pink remains. Drain and return to skillet. Stir in taco seasoning and 2/3 cup water. Bring to a simmer for 3-4 minutes, until thickened. Add salsa.
  4. Spoon beef mixtire over crescent roll dough. Sprinkle with shredded cheese
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, until crust is golden brown. Cut into squares, and serve with your favorite toppings.
