See, I used to be right where you are. I’d wander up and down the grocery store aisles, throwing random items into my cart. The total at the register always shocked me, since it didn’t really seem like I got very much. Plus, I had no plan for what to do with the food I was bringing home.
Since I was usually unable to make many meals from those random ingredients, we often found ourselves going out to eat or through the drive-thru for dinner. I had already spent too much money at the grocery store, and then made it worse by spending even more at a restaurant.
We had car loans and student loans, and almost no emergency fund. We could’ve used that money to pay down debt and save for the future. I knew I had to learn techniques for grocery shopping on a budget, and fast.
After tons of research, I learned how to shop the sales, use coupons, and Ibotta to get cash back.

That complicated-sounding idea of ‘meal planning’ became possible and then easy. And in learning how to create a grocery budget and stick to it, our grocery cost dropped from $500+ to just $200 a month. And now, we’re debt free.
Since then, I’ve become passionate about helping people like you learn how to budget groceries, and spend way less on food.
If I can learn it, so can you!
